The Mothers’ Union is a worldwide organisation of Christian women, open also to men, supporting family life, with over 4 million members and growing. The Mothers’ Union in the Bristol Diocese is linked to members in the Diocese of Banks & Tores in the Pacific, to Dioceses in South Africa and Nigeria, and with particularly strong links to West Ankole in Uganda.
Here we are part of a small group in the North Wilts Deanery led by Pam Osborne in Malmesbury. We meet once a month in different churches and homes in the Deanery for fellowship and prayer and news of our own and other projects. Our Diocesan projects include holidays for needy families, friends for parents of children in the Bristol Children’s Hospital, welcomers for Bristol Cathedral, Hartcliffe Teenage Project, and many others.
Twice a year we have a home-made cake and produce sale in Malmesbury to raise funds for our projects and to support overseas members.
