Oaksey Park Golf Club
Oaksey Park Golf Club has been up and running for 25 years and has seen many high moments. The course was originally opened in 1989 by champion jockey Lord Oaksey, with a fabulous drive of forty yards. Since then the parkland course has matured and evolved and by adding extra tees has increased from a 9 to an 18 hole course. It’s a par 70 course and challenging for regular golfers yet wide enough for beginners and juniors.
In all that time the course has seen 12 holes in one – averaging one every other year with the last occurring in 2012. So they must surely be due for one this year – could you be the one? Go along and have a try!
Whether you enjoy golf or not, the club house will give you a warm and friendly welcome and during the sunny weather you could make use of the balcony to relax and enjoy the wonderful views across the parkland, whilst maybe sipping a glass of Pimms from the bar and enjoying some of the delicious food available. During the winter months, you can keep warm and cosy by the log fire whilst enjoying a hot chocolate, or a variety of beverages to help warm the cockles! The clubhouse also has a great reputation for hosting special events – be it a party, christening, wake or even as an exclusive venue for weddings in the on-site marquee.
