We’ve now been informed that the road works to make a raised junction outside the shop will take place in October. This will improve the whole area including surface drainage.
It looks as though it will take up to FOUR weeks to complete and for a short period Earl’s Corner will also be inaccessible from the east.
This will involve some significant traffic disruption as there will be no traffic access through the junction from any direction.
We will be looking at parking for Villagers to the west and south of the shop with pedestrian access to the Village and shop.
This link will show you the detailed plans for the junction.
We’ve waited several years for this improvement and it looks as though it will really happen this time.
