The Malmesbury Concert Band
The Malmesbury Concert Band is a concert wind band, which performs appropriate classical, popular and original music
- in bandstands in municipal parks
- at public concerts
- in providing musical support at Remembrance Day services at Malmesbury Abbey
- as ‘background’ music at fêtes and at similar events.
It comprises competent amateur woodwind, brass (and percussion) instrumentalists drawn from the local community and environs (including Oaksey) and is always, subject to vacancies, happy to welcome additional musicians, without audition.
Rehearsals take place on Friday evenings (7.15pm to 9.15pm) at:

Malmesbury Concert Band (MCB) is now rehearsing weekly for a busy series of engagements in 2017, after an active programme of performances last year.
In addition to Bandstand concerts, these included: their annual Musical Extravaganza at Malmesbury Town Hall; the Remembrance Day service in Malmesbury Abbey; and, just before Christmas, carols in Brinkworth Church and at the Malmesbury Market Cross.

- 12th November – Remembrance Service, Malmesbury Abbey – 2pm
- 15th December – Carols – Brinkworth Church – 6.30pm
- 16th December – Carols – Market Cross, Malmesbury – 11.00am
MCB is a concert wind band with approximately 35 woodwind and brass playing members. Subject to vacancies, it’s always happy to welcome new members. The Band is also pleased to receive requests to play at events in the local area.
